Embrace Adversity: Are you buried or planted? What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Force adaptation by pushing abilities daily we see progress. We need to struggle because its the struggle that makes us better. Expect Adversity--things are not going to go as planned. Visualize or prepare for adversity and setbacks. Expect to overcome it! Hope for the best but plan for the worst.
Embrace the Struggle:
You are going to have moments that are bad. It’s not always going to be sunshine and rainbows It's going to happen! When it happens are you gonna live in that moment longer than you need to? Will you learn to turn the page once it happens? It’s in the past and the faster we can move on the better. Live in the present, the only thing you can do to rectify the past is to live in the present moment. This is a difficult skill to master and the only way we will ever come close is we have to practice it.
Humility: Admit you have a weakness-make a plan and attack it!
You will face adversity. Will you prepare yourself to do what you can normally do under extreme pressure? Focus on the task not the outcome, adapt cooly, and maintain confidence
Plan of action:
This week you will see adversity in your workouts. Your Workouts will be difficult and you will struggle. Embrace Adversity.
You are not like everyone else so your workouts this week will not be like everyone else. Embrace the Struggle.
Every day you will work on your biggest weakness. Accept Humility.
I would like for you to write in your notes or keep a journal of your thoughts about the weeks workouts and describe some of the adversity, struggle, and humility you experience.
